CATHY DEBUONO
When you take an award-winning comedic actress, combine the inherent gifts of an empath with a master’s degree in clinical psychology and a license in marriage and family therapy plus a decade of experience working with an wide spectrum of people, you get Cathy DeBuono.
In 2008, Cathy combined her education, skills and interests to create “What’s Your Problem?” (WYP), an online, weekly released video blog that focused on delivering sound guidance to viewers who had written to Cathy for advice.
WYP was nominated in LOGO’s 2008 New. Now. Next. awards, honored in CURVE magazine as one of the top three best series on the web two years running and has been acknowledged by almost every lesbian entertainment media outlet worldwide.
Cathy’s charismatic presence, sense of humor and quick wit came together with her education, training and inherent nature as a healer to manifest what turned out to be a globally popular endeavor.
On September 13, 2011, “Cathy Is In: The Cathy DeBuono Show” was launched. LA Talk Radio reports her audience at over 52,000 listeners a month.
JENNIE MCNULTY
Jennie has traveled the world doing comedy, literally. In addition to headlining in comedy clubs all over the United States and Canada, she has entertained the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, Bosnia, Serbia and many other bases. And, for some less dangerous excitement, she performs regularly at Harrah’s Casino in Las Vegas. She is a favorite of Sweet performer.
Jennie spends her summer seasons performing nightly in Provincetown. She has performed at The Toronto Gay and Lesbian Comedy Festival, The Dinah and countless pride events coast to coast.
Jennie also produces the popular “Rainbow Comedy Night” in Ventura, Calif., as well as a monthly comedy-variety show in North Hollywood that consistently features the hottest acts in Los Angeles.
Also working as, “The Joke Dr,” McNulty has helped countless comedians with their material with her comedy classes. thejokedr.com. In her spare time, Jennie plays women’s tackle football for the California Quake in the Independent Women’s Football League.
MAE-DAY FOUNDATION
Mae-Day is a non-profit organization committed to spay and neuter dogs and cats, while generating awareness and education about homeless animals. Natalie Garcia, the creator of Mae-Day, got involved in Mexican animal rescue with the help of Sweet. Mae-Day’s overall goal is to educate the Mexican community while bringing free spay-neuter clinics to their communities and finding homes for the unwanted Mexican strays.
