In spite of her broken heart, Giselle, who now resides in an otherworldly forest of beguiled female spirits, protects her remorseful lover from their evil vengeance. This critically acclaimed production features lavish scenery and costumes, soulful music, and beautiful choreography epitomizing the pure classicism of the Romantic ballets.

Yuri Possokhov’s Classical Symphony, a mesmerizing reconfiguration of ballet’s classical past, leads this mixed-bill program that also includes Helgi Tomasson’s emotionally stirring Nanna’s Lied, set to songs by Kurt Weill sung live, and finally, William Forsythe’s visually arresting, contemporary masterpiece Artifact Suite.
